A rich history
Located on the roof of the iconic Galveston factory building, Rooftop Gaston is a stunning example of industrial heritage with a rich history. Originally built as a cotton mill in the 19th century, it played an important role in the city's thriving textile industry. UCO Galveston was part of Union Cotonnière, a merger of six Ghent textile mills, and was named for the Texas port from which cotton reached Europe.
The imposing water tower and robust industrial character are reminders of those times. Today the building lives on as a valuable industrial heritage and inspiring meeting place.
Cathedrals of industry
In an old cotton factory near Vrijdagsmarkt, the Industrial Museum today brings Ghent's eventful industrial history back to life. With the expo and photo book 'Cathedrals of Industry' you will discover Ghent's textile past. Photographer Alexander Dumarey photographed more than 70 former textile factories, which were included in the museum's permanent digital collection.

Coeur Catering has been enthusiastically making its mark on the catering world in Belgium and abroad for 20 years with a team of more than 35 permanent, motivated and professional employees. We are proud catering partner of Film Fest Gent, Festival of Flanders, Muziekcentrum De Bijloke and the Stadsmuseum Gent, among others, where we have also been running the STAMcafé since 2019.
Coeur Catering strives to tell a story tailored to its clients and cooks with love for the product and attention to detail, refined yet casual. Our strength? A passionate team, years of expertise, a creative outlook and a keen eye for perfectionism.
In 2011, we launched Rooftop Gaston. Apart from being the most beautiful rooftop restaurant in Ghent during the summer months, it is a coveted location throughout the year for any private or professional event.

Is Rooftop Gaston also publicly accessible?
During the summer months (July-August) you can reserve a table in our Restobar Gaston. Outside this period, our roof terrace and party room is only accessible for private parties and corporate events.

What are Rooftop Gaston's hours of operation?
Rooftop Gaston can be rented from Monday to Sunday, both during the day and in the evening, and has a catering license until 04:00.

Depending on the rooms and your catering formula of your party, we can accommodate up to 180 people.
